Third Brake Light PULSAR Gen1
We
have two versions of the generation 1 product. The Short Pulse unit which pulses about 4 times in about one
second and the Long Pulse unit which pulses about 6 times in about one and one-half
seconds. Please select which one you would like below.
This
unit will flash your third center brake light about 4 or 6 times in the
first 1 or 1.5 seconds after you apply your brakes and then brake light
will remain on without flashing as long as your brake lights are on.
Release your brakes and reapply the brakes, it will pulse your center
light again.
We have one on each of our cars and we can definitely tell a difference with other driver's reactions when we hit the brakes. They back off much quicker.
Using surface
mount technology, this little unit was designed to be as small as we
could get it for our MINI's which fits nicely into the third brake
light cavity.
Will
this work on other cars? Yes, as long as they are 12V and have a LED
light for a third brake light. Incandescent (bulbs) brake lights draw
too much power and will damage the PULSAR. Also, there is a limit to
the number of LEDs in the brake light. We know some aftermarket
spoiler lights have 30 or more LEDs. This unit will not work with such
lights. For vehicles with incandescent bulbs or a high number of LEDs, please see our Gen2 product.

Unlike other units, this is silent during operation. No clicking!
Installation is very simple. Unscrew your third light, connect to the wiring and reinstall the light.

Thanks
to one of our customers in the UK, we now know that the PULSAR works
nicely on the SLK Mercedes Benz. Here are a couple of install pics and
a video of the PULSAR in action (a big thank you to papa for a great
video)
